Why do We collect information about You?

We collect personal and non-personal information, which You give Us, to process Your online orders, and to send You information that You've requested. At no time do We collect personal information about You, without Your consent and We do not provide Your personal information to others. What information do We collect?

• Registration
  When You register on OurSite, We collect personal information such as Your email address, phone number, delivery address, password and date of birth for identification purposes. Registering allows You to shop online and to receive product updates. We store this information to help Us manage Your user profile.
  You can cancel Your registration at any time by accessing Your user profile. After You have cancelled Your registration, You will not be able to purchase products online.


• Purchasing
  When You purchase a product through Our online shop, in addition to the registration information We also need to know Your credit card details so We can process Your order. Please note that to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, unless you request that We do so, We do not store credit card details online for more than the period of the transaction.


• User feedback
  From time to time We may ask You to provide feedback about Our Site. This information allows Us to better understand the needs of Our users. Responses are not linked to identifying information. While We keep responses, they will not be shared with third parties.


• Search
  We store search terms and the pages visited to help Us improve the quality of Our search results, but We do not link this information to individual users.

  When You send Us an email using the links on OurSite, Your email may be shared with a HeartSmart.me employee. If You provide personal health information in Your email, We will only use it to help Us respond to Your email.


• Invitations
  If You invite friends to visit HeartSmart.me, or if You pass on any content via Our Share with a Friend function, We will send them an email on Your behalf. We will not use Your friends’ email addresses for any other purposes.


• Email updates
  As a registered HeartSmart.me user, You have the option to receive email newsletters and updates. To do so, You opt in for these communications through Your member profile. If at any time You don’t wish to receive this information, simply click the ‘unsubscribe’ button, found on the bottom of these communications, or opt out through Your member profile.


• Data privacy and sharing
  Like most online business’ HeartSmart.me implements Google online Display Advertising and Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google display HeartSmart.me ads on sites across the Internet.
  HeartSmart.me and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on someone's past visits to HeartSmart.me.
  HeartSmart.me adheres to Google’s privacy and remarketing policies. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Preference Manager or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on

Secure Pay, an industry leader in meeting high-level security standards, hosts Our payment gateway.

HeartSmart.me uses industry standard, highly secure 256-bit 2-key SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption provided by Thawte. The SSL certificate is viewable on the HeartSmart.me home page. When You enter information to register and to use Our online shop, the secure server software encrypts it before it is sent to Us.

Your information is stored on secure servers in protected facilities. Please note that unless you ask Us to store your credit card information, We store those details for only as long as it takes to complete Your transaction. Unless You specifically ask us to do so, HeartSmart.me does not retain this information, so You will need to complete Your payment details each time You purchase from the online shop.
